STORY

Muy Macho was founded in 2006 by husband and wife Carlos Reyes and Judith Herrera. This couple from Mexico continues to carry out their dream of owning and operating a restaurant. “Muy Macho” for them symbolizes a way of life and the passion they have for their business. Because of this, they work meticulously to bring authentic Oaxacan flavor to the their customers on a daily basis.

Judith Herrera, owner and always on-site chief/chef/manager is originally from Oaxaca. There, she learned the art of cooking from a young age. She inherited this passion from her grandmother which allows her to delight even the most demanding taste buds.

It’s important to mention that a majority of the dishes served are elaborated with traditional instruments. A good example is the “Metate” (“Chimolera”/”Cajete”) used to grind chiles and make create dishes like: Mole Negro, Mole Rojo, Tamales, etc.

For Muy Macho, their tradition, excellent service and authentic flavor are the key ingredients that make this place stand out among all Mexican restaurants in the area.
